How do you get your best friend to ride a bicycle?

Today I set out on a mission to get my best friend out on a bike on the streets of Sydney.
Some of the challenges I faced:

• She has a fear of bike riding stemming from her childhood
• She can't get on or off the bike easily
• She doesn't know how to turn
• Her fitness is not the best
• She lives in Sydney City

Mission:

• Get her riding on a street
• Get her to enjoy herself
• Get her to appreciate the freedom of riding v driving
• Get her to appreciate the euphoric effect of riding
• Get her to want to ride to work

Strategy:

• Invite her out on to ride in Centennial Park (close to her house) for a picnic. 
• Take her along some of the cycleways in her area
• Teach her skills for braking, turning, getting confidence,

Success Measure:

• Is able to turn without falling
• Is able to stop without falling
• Asks me to ride to work with her

Result
